I just joined The Colour as a subscriber and would love to receive a postcard in the mail if you still have some... I'm half way around the world, in Istanbul :)
I love these postcards! You sent me one of your test prints on lovely watercolour paper (that I have up in my little studio inspiring me). I’m not sure if you have any left (and I don’t want to take away from others that may not have a chance to have one) but if possible, I’d love one of yours 🤍! Such a great newsletter, thank you!
Born and bred New Yorker , lived all over the world but just keep coming back. Thank you for this wonderfully spot on description of the city. I felt the exhaustion , heat and noise just by reading it alone ! Perhaps because of , is why I chose to live in the Lower Hudson Valley. Loved the postcards. Paid subscriber, address should be in my account information. Many thx!
Ah how very lovely!! I stayed in a tiny Buddhist hostel, my last time in NY. I was there for a hugely commercial writers festival that just destroyed my soul so I didn’t go back after my panel, I just walked and walked and it was so beautiful! I remember how lovely everyone was - well, apart from the ravenous-for-fame authors stepping on top of each other or elbowing each other out of the way!
The room in my hostel was the size of a shoebox, with a low ceiling and I’m not tall and I had to sleep like a hairpin on the bed and I could reach the door with my hand. Generally claustrophobic by nature, it felt wonderfully and surprisingly safe. And there was free fruit, which was delicious.
You had me at postcards
send me a mailing address and I will get one to you the sllllloooow way
I love any reference to Florent! thank you
